TABOO STUDIO PRESENTS
‘TIS THE SEASON
Our holiday show includes the jewelry of renowned goldsmith Pat Flynn. He creates his high karat gold and forged iron work in his studio in High Falls, New York. Another favorite East Coast artist joining us is Ayesha Mayadas who is originally from Calcutta. She also favors the hammer for crafting her jewelry in precious metals and gemstones. Local artist Ingrid Psuty has fabricated some beautiful earrings in sterling silver. We are debuting the work of Leia Zumbro and Laura Wood. Leia Zumbro’s jewelry in steel, brass, and silver is inspired by the natural world. Laura Wood, whose lace cluster necklace graces our invitation, uses sterling, brass, gemstones, and powder coat to create designs with movement. Lauren Markley prefers enamel to give color to her sterling silver pieces. Casey Bares contributes minimalist designs in her theme of absolute shapes.
Jewelry from Taboo Studio is a personal, one-of-a-kind gift that endures the test of time. A selection can be made from an ever-evolving inventory of artists, or a custom piece may be designed using your stones or gems from the gallery’s collection.
OPENING RECEPTION: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 6-8pm
Runs through Dec 30, 2016
Please join us for the opening of our holiday show and to toast the life and work of jeweler Steven Brixner. Our dear friend and colleague passed away October 22.
